The Feist originated in the southern United States. Their ancestry dates back prior to Abraham Lincolns era, the Feist is referenced in several well documented diaries and books starting in the 1600s. This dog was not intended for the show ring so there is little or no consistency in their appearance. They are very high spirited and a lovable pet to care for. Remember to provide daily walks for them to expel some of their energy.
