The Swedish Lapphund is SweedenÆs national dog. This dog is a medium sized lapphund that has a thick double coat with prick ears, a wedge-shaped head and waving tail.

The Swedish Lapphund is part of the Spitz family of dogs. They are a lovely breed that makes terrific companions. Swedish Lapphunds have a cleverness about them that make them truly endearing. They are extremely agile and do wonderful in agility classes.
Origin
The Swedish Lapphund originates from Sweden as a hunting and guarding dog. They were also known to be great herders of reindeer. The Swedish Lapphunds make wonderful working dogs, specializing in search and rescue.
