This wire-coated dog has a lean and robust build that makes the appearance distinguished. The skull on this dog is moderately wide that is a little longer than the muzzle. The ears are moderately low set with skin that hangs close to the cheeks. The neck is strong and muscular with shoulders that are well laid.

The Wirehaired Vizsla is an athletic breed with a lot of energy. They are known to be great retrievers, pointer and watchdogs. Due to their intelligence, they do very well with competitive obedience classes and are highly trainable.
The Wirehaired Vizsla is a relatively new breed, originating the 1930s. They were known as outstanding trackers and pointers, but were originally bred for hunting fur and feather animals, in both land and water.
