Their Mission

K9 Heroes 4 Heroes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit driven by a simple yet powerful goal: to give back to the heroes who protect and serve us by connecting them with specially trained Service Dogs who bring support, security, and healing.

What sets them apart is their holistic approach. Each recipient receives:

• A fully trained Service Dog
• Handler training and ongoing support
• All necessary equipment and gear
• Initial veterinary care
• Continued maintenance training

This ensures a strong, lasting partnership between each dog and their handler.

Loki z Diehlomov, the personal Service Dog of Founder Joe Gionti, was adopted from Deihl’s Police K9 Training Center. Now, Loki proudly represents the mission in action, demonstrating the powerful impact of the human-animal bond.

Driven by Service: Joe Gionti’s Story

K9 Heroes 4 Heroes began with founder Joe Gionti’s admiration for those in uniform. Though he couldn’t serve himself, he was determined to give back. His passion for dog training and dedication to Veterans and First Responders brought the vision to life, starting with his own Service Dog, Loki.

Today, through partnerships like Ridgeside K9 Ashtabula and the Precision Dog Training Academy, Joe and his team are creating Service Dog teams that change lives forever.
