Small Munsterlander Pointer Breed Profile


This medium-sized dog is a popular hunting dog that has a soft coat that is medium length. The ears are flappy and down with a long tail.

The Small Munsterlander Pointer originates from Munster, Germany and was bred as a hunting, pointing and retrieving breed. They are hard workers and were known to hunt bird and small game. Small Munsterlanders still remain a rare breed in the United States.
