Description
A medium sized dog, they are square in build with a tail docked and held level with the spine. The coat is short and coarse on most of the body.

A working gun dog, the Portuguese pointer is Affectionate, Lively, Calm, and Submissive. Can be friendly family dog or and obedient hunter.
Origin
The Portuguese Pointer, originating from Portugal in the gun dog or hunting group. They are exceptional hunters and retrievers. This Pointer was once used primarily to hunt grey partridge. Today they double as a gun dog and a wonderful family pet.
