The Lhasa Apso is a happy and assertive dog, that although small, can exhibit brief periods of explosive energy.
Lhasa ApsoÆs have held a sacred spot among the Tibetan Monks and nobility. They were used as watchdogs, but were also believed to bring luck to their owners. The first Lhasa appeared outside of Tibet in the 1920Æs in Britain and then to the US in the 1930Æs.
