Origin
The Afghan Hound is one of the oldest breeds, bred specifically for hunting in the mountains of Afghanistan. They were bred for their superior eyesight, which made them ideal for hunting everything from deer to wolves. AfghanÆs were also kept by royalty, highly prized for their beautiful hair coats and kingly personality.
