The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed.
Origin
The wolfdog hybrid was first found in Great Britain in 1766. It is known to be that a male wolf mated with a pomeranian female dog that resulted in a litter of 9 puppies. They were then breed in Great Britain, and spread to European countries and the United States.
