Temperament

The disposition for the Labrador Retriever is one of a kindly, outgoing, tractable nature. The Labrador has much that appeals to people; his gentle ways, eager to please attitude, intelligence and adaptability make him an ideal dog.

Origin

Labrador Retrievers originated in the mid to late 15th century. Originally they were bred to assist fisherman in bringing nets to shore; they would jump into the water and grab the floating cork in the water and swim them in.
