Description

The Alaskan Klee Kai is a smaller version of the Alaskan Husky with similar features. These dogs usually have white fur that is long and thick with pointed ears and muzzles, and a tail that will curl over their back side.

Origin

The Alaskan Klee Kais were bred in Wasilla, Alaska during the middle of the 1970s. The breed was discovered as a result of an accidental mating of an Alaskan Husky and an unknown smaller dog. The smaller size provided benefits for families wanting the husky characteristics without the large size.
